Any person who willfully threatens to commit a crime which

by means of an electronic communication device, is to be taken as a
threat, even if there is no intent of actually carrying it out,
which, on its face and under the circumstances in which it is made,
is so unequivocal, unconditional, immediate, and specific as to
convey to the person threatened, a gravity of purpose and an
immediate prospect of execution of the threat, and thereby causes
that person reasonably to be in sustained fear for his or her own
safety or for his or her immediate family's safety, shall be punished
by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed one year, or by
imprisonment in the state prison.
   For the purposes of this section, "immediate family" means any
spouse, whether by marriage or not, parent, child, any person related
by consanguinity or affinity within the second degree, or any other
person who regularly resides in the household, or who, within the
prior six months, regularly resided in the household.
   "Electronic communication device" includes, but is not limited to,
telephones, cellular telephones, computers, video recorders, fax
machines, or pagers.  "Electronic communication" has the same meaning
as the term defined in Subsection 12 of Section 2510 of Title 18 of
the United States Code.

I am totally and utterly flat out with discovering time doesn’t stand still, commitments, just generally being a hindrance to every Lost Boy that crosses my path, my day is filled with fluorescent light from the second I am woken by murderous Teletubbies to sun down and beyond. I am not complaining though. I need some perspective.

I declare solemnly I will make more of an effort to blog more often. Seriously! Don’t hold your breath though, you’re likely to turn blue..

A student comes to a young professor’s office hours. She glances down the hall, closes his door, kneels pleadingly.

“I would do anything to pass this exam.” She leans closer to him, flips back her hair, gazes meaningfully
into his eyes.

“I mean…” she whispers, “…I would do…anything.“

He returns her gaze. “Anything?”

“Anything.”

His voice softens. “Anything??”

“Anything.”

His voice turns to a whisper. “Would you … study?”

It means you have to work even harder, be more self-aware, and most importantly concentrate on developing empathy.

I lost my best friend because she is willing to let her husband get away with such a personality flaw.

I am so happy that I have my hubby. Compared to my former best friend’s husband, my hubby appears to be a doormat. But he is not. He is remarkably kind, sympathetic, empathic, understanding, loving, and will speak his mind and stand up for himself when required to – he would never go out of his way to treat people poorly and then tell them to deal with it because that’s just how he is.

Winter is a pathetic excuse for a man, and will never be able to keep a friend unless he learns it’s just not right for him to treat people the way he does. And his wife, well, unfortunately, she is becoming just like him.

And I’m the one that introduced them.

I hope that somehow they’re able to find happiness.
